In the digital age, information technology has become a “key” that opens the door to knowledge. With just a “click of a mouse,” students can enter a vast world of knowledge, access engaging lessons, and explore modern learning methods. Today, computers are not merely tools, but also companions in learning, creativity, and integration.
However, for many schools in remote and border areas such as Loc Thinh, the digital divide remains a reality. For many years, the school’s computer room had only a few outdated and deteriorating computers. During each lesson, three to four students had to take turns practicing on a single device. As a result, information technology lessons could not be fully implemented, while students had limited opportunities to develop the essential skills needed for the future.
For many students here, being able to sit in front of their own computer, type each line of text themselves, and complete practical exercises independently may seem like a small dream, but it has remained a distant and almost unattainable one.
Starting from this reality and continuing the “Lighting Knowledge – Brightening the Future” journey in 2025, Tien Phuoc Group collaborated with FLY TO SKY CHARITY AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT SOCIAL ENTERPRISE COMPANY LIMITED and Fly To Sky Charity Organization to implement the “Computers to the Border Areas” program at Loc Thinh Primary and Lower Secondary School, formerly located in Loc Ninh Commune, former Binh Phuoc Province (now Loc Thanh Commune, Dong Nai Province).
Accordingly, 30 desktop computer sets were provided to supplement the school’s computer room, giving each student an opportunity to practice on an individual computer. In addition, two 65-inch TV screens were donated to support teachers in teaching other subjects, making lessons more visual and engaging.
Without fanfare or extravagance, the donated equipment carries a simple yet profound message: knowledge can only truly spread when every child has an equal opportunity to access it.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Hai Nam, Chief Financial Officer of Tien Phuoc Group, shared that the Group is always aware that education is not solely the responsibility of the education sector, but a shared responsibility of the entire society. “Supporting and investing in education, particularly learning equipment, has always been one of our top priorities. The computers provided today are only a small contribution, but we hope they can give students better opportunities to access information technology and build a stronger foundation for their future,” Mr. Nam said.
Gifts That Open Doors to Trust and Hope
Receiving the meaningful gifts, Mr. Hoang Phuc Quang, Principal of Loc Thinh Primary and Lower Secondary School, expressed his deep appreciation. According to Mr. Quang, the “Computers to the Border Areas” program not only provides material support but also demonstrates the deep concern of businesses for education in border areas, where many challenges and shortages remain.
“This valuable support is a great source of encouragement for the entire school, helping us gradually improve the quality of teaching, particularly information technology under the new general education curriculum. It also gives students better conditions to access information technology in a structured and effective way,” Mr. Quang shared.
Representatives of the school’s management board also committed to managing and using the donated equipment properly and effectively, regarding it as a source of motivation for teachers and students to continue striving for better teaching and learning in the years ahead.
The joy was also clearly reflected on the faces of the students. Lâm Thị Pay, a fourth-grade student, was shy but had sparkling eyes when she practiced on a new computer for the first time. Pay shared that her family does not own a computer, so school is the only place where she has the opportunity to become familiar with information technology.
“I’m not very good at using it yet, but I’m very happy. I will try my best to learn so that I can become better at using computers,” Pay said simply, touching the hearts of many people present.
From the computers delivered to the border area today, a new journey is beginning. It is not merely a journey of technology, but also one of trust, hope, and dreams that are being nurtured day by day.
The “Computers to the Border Areas” program once again demonstrates the spirit of “spreading knowledge” that Tien Phuoc Group has consistently pursued over the years. Because sometimes, with just one timely “click of a mouse,” a child’s future can take a different path — one that is more open and filled with greater possibilities.
